The Rt Hon The Baroness Thatcher writes...

I am delighted to be a President of The British Forces Foundation and to congratulate all of you who are helping us with this marvellous cause.

We owe an enormous debt of gratitude to the men and women of our armed forces who are often called on to serve in difficult circumstances around the world.

If, through the efforts of this Foundation, we can relieve some of the pressures under which they work, then we not only demonstrate our thanks to them but we also contribute towards the better efficiency and morale of all those who serve this country.
